With numerous celebrations the past week, I’ve been using a body friendly green tea body cleanse to reduce feeling bloated from excess salt and sugar.
Directions: Place 4-5 Organic Green Tea bags in a microwave-safe container with 8-10 ounces of water. Heat the water and tea bags in the microwave for 2 and 1/2 minutes. Steep, let sit, for 7-8 minutes.
Fill a small pitcher 2/3 with water and ice. Using a citrus zest, zest some fresh ginger, squeeze juice of 1/2 lemon (or lime) into the pitcher. Add 6-8 slices of cucumber. Add steeped tea to pitcher and place in refrigerator to cool.
Once cool, sip throughout the day. If needed, add Stevia or agave nectar to sweeten. Promotes feelings of mental and physical wellness.

All types of tea (green, black, and oolong) are produced from the Camellia sinensis plant using different methods. Fresh leaves from the plant are steamed to produce green tea. Green tea and green tea extracts, such as its component EGCG, have traditionally been used to prevent and treat a variety of cancers, including breast, stomach, and skin cancers, and for mental alertness, weight loss, lowering cholesterol levels, and protecting skin from sun damage.
Note: Green tea naturally contains a small amount of caffeine, so feel free to use black tea or other caffeine-free variation.
